DIGITIZATION LEADER

Job Description

Bower & Partners is seeking an passionate individual who is experienced and comes with the energy, leadership and direction to contribute directly to the fight against cash. As a Digitization Leader,  you will have multifaceted responsibilities working directly on digitization and cash reduction assignments. This is an leading position for our company and we are looking for someone who has subtantial experience in payments and digital financial and who has worked in a multi-partner environments, across multiple regions, with demonstrated entrepreneurial flair.  

Responsibilities           

•       Provide effective leadership and project management support:

-       Leads projects by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; takes ownership of content development and production; establish and monitor project budget.

-       Supervises project progress by engaging with clients, developing relationships and advancing deliverables,  tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.

Participate in consulting assignments as required:

-       Provides leadership in the definition of and authoring of content related to digitization strategies, digital inclusion, and financial inclusion.

-       Guides partner relationships, cultivate and develop business opportunities, identify and apply for commercial consultancies and contracts with international partners.

•       Other tasks as assigned.

 

Skills & Proficiencies required

•       7+ years of Payments, Financial Services, or Financial Inclusion experience.

•       Bachelors degree in business, international development, or international relations, or other relevant field, with a preference for advanced degrees.

•       English fluency required, Spanish and/or French language proficiency ideal (other languages considered beneficial).

•       Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

•       Must be capable of working with a team, as well as with a great deal of autonomy.

•       Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with strong attention to detail; flexibility to meet and adapt to changes in organizational priorities.

•       Strong time management skills are essential in scheduling and organizing day to day tasks.

•       Competence with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

•       Positive, proactive and able to always exercise great judgment.

•       Comfortable in a professional yet casual fast-paced work environment.

Location and Commitment

  • This is an at-distance/remote position,  with preference for candidates located in Toronto, Canada able to attend periodic in-person meetings.
  • The position is envisaged as a consulting engagement with initially approximately 20+ hours of work per week. Additional commitment may be required.

As the Digitization Analyst, you will have multifaceted responsibilities delivering effective project support and organizational efficiency. This is an integral position for our company and we are looking for someone who has experience working in a multi-partner environment, across multiple regions, with demonstrated entrepreneurial flair.  

Responsibilities           

•       Provide effective project management support:

-       Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; propose project team and roles and responsibilities; establish and monitor project budget.

-       Supervise project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.

•       Participate in consulting assignments as required:

-       Deliver on operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.

-       Prepare reports and/or presentations for meetings as required in support of and/or on behalf of the Principal and his direct reports.

•       Provides a broad range of organizational support:

-       business development tracking of ongoing initiatives;

-       arranging speaking engagements;

-       managing website updates/blogs;

-       driving a list of key decisions for the team;

-       Monitor and research digital payment developments;

-       Serve as the single point of contact for all meetings.

•       Other tasks as assigned.
